Birthday Not According to Plan...

Alright...so it was "planned" that I'd go to lunch with Manda & then over to Mom & Bud's for dinner & cake.  Possibly get some cleaning/packing done in-between there somewhere...*laughs*...Yeah, Right?!  ;-p

I woke up at 9 am, after not going to sleep til about 5 am...lol.  Manda texted around 10-ish that she was super hungover & sick as a dog!  But she was gonna lay down some more & try to let it pass.  Around 11 am, Mom called.  They had Bud's Birthday Poker Night last night.  His birthday is the 4th.  She got drunk, then got sick & then passed out.  LOL  Was still feeling like shit this morning.  I told her I was kinda waiting to see on Manda.

Somewhere between 10-11...I started getting emails from Cindy, in a panic.  The newsletter went out last night BUT...people were emailing in droves that they were getting duplicate copies, just gibberish or completely blank!!  UGH!!!  It's a formatting issue.  I've had trouble with it in the past but not to THIS extent!!  However, a couple of different things were done this month.  1st, Cindy had Claire copy & paste a couple of articles from the net for her to copy & paste into the newsletter.  2nd, I copied & pasted the newsletter into Word Pad...cuz it was way bigger than normal & I thought it'd be easier to work with that way.  WRONG!!  I mean, even on a "normal" basis, Cindy copies & pastes stuff from all over (the net, SIBA & ABA newsletters, Judy) into her Word program that she puts into the newsletter but she usually does it right away...not doing it in several documents.  Then she pastes it into Yahoo New Mail when she's done with it & emails it to me.  I then get it, copy & paste it into new emails (4 newsletter groups = 4 emails).  I generally have a formatting issue with font color & style, text size & spacing because my Outlook is fighting the numerous other formatting already in play.  GOOD GAWD!!  lol

So by 12:15, I was frustrated with the newsletter & everyone I'd had plans with was sick sooo...I decided I'd just take a nap & run to Mom's later to pick up cake.  Texted Manda that we could raincheck.  Texted Mom my plan to nap & come later.  She texted back that she'd eaten & was feeling better & for me to come on now cuz they had another poker game at 6 pm...lol!  ARGH!!

Was at Mom's by 1.  We had leftover spaghetti (from last night's poker party) & she made brownies.  Bud was at the new house, working on tile.  ;-p  I left at 2:30 with the rest of Bud's sheet cake (about half of it!), the rest of the brownies & a really cute little fragrance diffuser she'd picked up for the new house cuz it'll match my decor (someday!).

I had a piece of cake when I got home.  Then I took a load of trash downstairs for tomorrow night & was napping by 4:30 pm.  Woke up at 5:45 pm.  Stacy had texted that she & Ryan were gonna make me a birthday dinner sometime this week.  :-)  We'll play it by ear but it may be the weekend.  Then Manda texted (cuz she'd finally woken up) & said we could shoot for dinner possibly Tuesday night cuz my day off Thursday, she's going to her cousin's court appearance & then needs to pack for their vacation they're leaving for on Sunday.  I then started watching Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs while I folded/hung laundry.  Made some dinner & finishing Cloudy now.  Possibly another movie after this one...dunno??  lol  We'll see.

All in all...the night out with the gang last night, all of the FB fanfare, texts, calls & emails...my friends FREAKING RAWK!!  :D  And I had a super fantabulous birthday FINALLY!!!!!  *does the happy dance*  Now, however, I've gotta get my ass in gear for the coming week of work, cleaning, packing & HOPEFULLY moving!!!!  :D
